Where to Eat?

Sandy Bay is lucky to be a great location with plenty of good quality local eateries. Don’t fancy cooking at the weekend – no problem.

Why not try one of the local pubs for a meal. The Black Bull at Preesall is a traditional pub, offering a reasonably priced menu. There is also The Bourne Arms at Knott End, here you can take in the fabulous views out to sea from the dining room. If your happy to jump in the car for 10 minutes there is also The Elletsons in Pilling offering Thai Cuisine (takeaway also available), or The Severn Stars at Stalmine. The Shard & The Shovels at Hambleton are also within striking distance.

If you would prefer to grab a takeaway and head back to your cosy caravan and snuggle down for the evening, there is lots to choose from in the village. There are 2 Chinese takeaways, Canton House & Westby, both offering delivery. Zeera Indian takeaway also offer delivery and have a handy app to order from. There are also two Fish and Chips shops to choose from, The Fisheries on Sandy Lane and Knott End Chippy. If a kebab or pizza is more your thing, give Carlitos a try in Knott End.

Knott End also has an exceptional butchers shop, pop in and you will be spoilt for choice. We can recommend the steak – locally sourced, and expertly prepared!
