Fleetwood

Fleetwood, famous for fresh fish and the home of Fisherman’s Friend. A town built on fishing and the railways. There is some fantastic architecture in and around the town giving a glimpse of its past wealth and grandeur. This Victorian seaside town sits right at the tip of the Fylde Coast peninsula, with the seafront and beach extending all the way along to Rossall beach at Cleveleys.

The Ferry across to Fleetwood from Knott End, docks opposite the architecturally beautiful North Euston Hotel. Just along the headland lies Fleetwood Marine Hall, an entertainment venue with a year round programme, featuring anything from live music to comedy night. The Marine Hall is surrounded by beautiful gardens, bowling greens. The leisure centre here has a swimming pool, outdoor splash park and even a skate bowl ( a sunken skate park). Fleetwood Beach Huts are situated here. Fleetwood beach is among the very few places in the UK to offer Beach Wheelchairs, offering true accessibility to the beach for wheelchair users.

Just further along the coast lie Fleetwood Boasting Lakes, used by the model boat club and training for the nautical students. However, the smaller lake is ideal for crabbing! Grab yourself a net and some bacon and while away an hour or two to see how many you can catch.
