As new caravan owners we have needed to speak with Charlotte for advice etc… throughout both the purchase process and when handling our queries she has been excellent – professional, knowledgeable and extremely accommodating.

She has delivered everything we asked promptly and with a smile! Nothing has been too much trouble. The site is great, as is our new experience as caravan owners. We will always find a way to Sandy Bay!

Lovely family run caravan park in the most beautiful spot. So glad we moved here a year ago. Everything in walking distance. Eric and Charlotte are such lovely people and care about the owners and the site, nothing is too much trouble. It’s a beautiful well kept site. Love it here.

Having owned a few Static Caravans now, from Cheshire, to Yorkshire and Heysham, I can honestly say that Sandy Bay is by FAR my favourite park. We’ve been here nearly 3 years now and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. The location is fantastic, right on Morecambe bay with a private secure gate directly from the park, straight onto the coastal walkway. Literally 30 seconds from my van straight onto the beach! And what a view! From Barrow in Furness, to the majestic Lake District to Morecambe, Heysham and right back around to Preesall. A delight to sit and watch the sun setting on a summer evening.

In the nearby village of Knott end, there are plenty of local shops for all your needs. An excellent butchers, bakery, cheese and deli shop and a local branch of Spar and the CO-OP for general groceries. Major supermarkets are located within a 30 min drive. This park is a dream for those who like a rural, countryside location, but to be on the coast too. Nature lovers and walkers will have plenty to keep them occupied. A visit to nearby Skippool creek marina makes for an interesting walk, being right on the estuary and with the old, abandoned boats. And with Blackpool and the Forest of Bowland both easily accessible, there’s something for everyone.

Being family owned and operated, this immaculately kept park has all of the major infrastructure you would want and need to be in a home from home, including good Wi-Fi which, being self employed, is very useful for me. It’s just as good for a Netflix binge night too in the wetter weather. This park feels like a little bubble away from everyday life. More a gated community than a caravan park. Safe, peaceful and immaculate. Lovely owners and fellow caravan owners too. After a busy spell at work, nothing beats coming to our little oasis, to sit on the decking with a glass of wine and the BBQ fired up, watching as the sun starts to set on the bay, it’s the perfect way to relax (even with the dog pinching said BBQ items!) Honestly, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Come see for yourselves! You won’t want to leave.

Six years ago, out of the blue, we were invited by a friend to visit Sandy Bay to view her caravan which was for sale.   We weren’t looking for a second home but decided to take a look regardless.  As we drove through Hambleton and the surrounding area, we took in the beautifully tended flower beds and lovely houses enroute and became interested to see more.  Having never heard of Knott End before, we were completely overwhelmed by how neat and clean the village is – it has an air of quaintness about it – it has to be seen.  Driving into Sandy Bay Caravan Park, it felt pleasant and tranquil, and against my better judgement, I immediately, and absolutely, loved the caravan!  – it honestly felt as though it was meant to be.  Needless to say, within a week, we were the proud owners of our lovely static home – our bolt hole – our quiet place to come and relax and we’ve never once waivered from this feeling.   People on the site are so friendly and the owners (Eric and Charlotte) are lovely and very attentive to everyone’s needs. There’s no club house on site, which suits us down to the ground.  Life is just so easy here.

Directly from Sandy Bay, Knott End village is easily accessed via a gate on the site (for which you’re given your own key), and it’s around a pleasant 20-minute walk down the coastal path where you can breathe in the sea air.   In Knott End you’ll find anything and everything you could possibly need.  Excellent quality fresh produce is sold at the local butchers, bakers and fruit shop and a Co-op and Spar are on hand for literally anything else.  There are various eateries too (tried and tested) that cater for everyone’s taste and where you can sit and wile away an hour just people watching.  Fancy a round of golf? – there’s a great golf club in the village which is very welcoming for both social and playing membership.  You name it, it’s on your doorstep.  Compare life in your town or city – Sandy Bay is complete tranquillity.  It’s hard to put in a few words how wonderful the place is, but not hard to state the negatives, in a word – NONE!

We have had a caravan at Sandy Bay for 25 years, and still love coming and spending time there! It is a quiet, friendly and small site that is well managed by a most helpful and willing couple. The sea/sand is right ”on tap” and on a clear day the views of the Lake mountains and Pennines are stunning. The walks are plentiful and flat, the village being only half a mile walk along the lovely coastal path.
The village is blest with a great variety of individual shops, plus two small supermarkets. There are also a number of cafes, a restaurant and pub that serves good food. For a change of scenery one can catch the regular (tide permitting!) ferry across to Fleetwood, and if desired the tram will take you from there to Cleveleys and the bright lights of Blackpool! I feel my heart rate drop when I enter Sandy Bay!

After over 30 years still get a buzz as we go over the Shard bridge to our holiday home on Sandy Bay caravan site in Knottend. This quiet well kept site is perfect for us. A lovely 20 minute walk along the sea wall into the village where we have shops and a pub . The ferry to Fleetwood and local buses to Blackpool and Lancaster available. Great country side and villages near by and the Fylde coast has something for everyone .

If you love waking up to the birds singing, having friendly neighbours and relaxing on your verandah with a coffee (or a wine!) then you should definitely come to Sandy Bay caravan park. It’s only a 20 minute walk on the coastal path to the village shops. There are so many places to visit a short drive away, one of my favourites is Ashton Hall Garden Centre. It’s a joy to come back after a day out to the tranquility of the Park. I’ve had my caravan for six years and it’s a perfect site for me.

I have owned a caravan on Sandy Bay for 5 years now and I have made lots of happy memories.

The site is very peaceful and a sense of calm comes over me when I arrive at Sandy Bay. as it is beautifully maintained. There is no club house but what could be nicer than a glass of wine on the decking?  Everyone is friendly and offer help when needed but you can have privacy too.

There is access to the coastal path offering a pleasant walk into Knott End Village. This is such a lovely village with traditional shops providing everything you could possible need. My favourite pastime is buying an ice cream and sitting by the Lowry statue watching the Fleetwood Ferry come and go..

I wouldn’t have a caravan anywhere else.

The fact I’ve been on Sandy Bay for 36 years says it all. Site is quiet, peaceful, relaxing and well maintained. Handy for day trips to Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and Trough of Bowland if you like to explore further afield. Knott End which has a variety of shops is a 10 to 15 minute walk along the coastal path with stunning views of the Lakeland fells on a clear day.

We have had a static van at Sandy Bay for two years. The immediate attraction when we picked the site was the quiet and peaceful situation. We are not interested in Club Houses or park attractions often found on large sites. The Coastal Path borders the site and it takes us about half an hour to slow walk to Knott End or a quiet walk in the other direction. Knott End has all the amenities you need for a holiday stay. We always feel very relaxed from arriving to leaving. I must add that the owners are very pleasant and helpful.
